Sound Baths in Northants
Relaxing Sound Bath Journeys
Sunday 8 December, 10.30-11.45am
Fotheringhay Village Hall, Northants
If you have never been to a sound bath before, you may be wondering what it is and why you should attend one...
In short, you come along and lay down or sit in a chair in
a comfortable position, while I play instruments, such as singing bowls, gongs, drums, rainsticks, shakers and chimes around (and sometimes on) your body. I may also share sung mantras too.
The idea behind Sound Bathing lies in vibration. The frequency of the instruments used are not just limited to the sounds we hear. The frequency vibrations that are inaudible to the human ear have been shown to have deeply relaxing and calming effects on the body and mind. You can find out more about Sound Baths by reading my blog post and listening to my All things Yoga with Vicky podcast.
What do you need to bring?
Yoga Mat/comfortable mat to lay on, a couple of blankets (one to lay on and one for cover), a bolster or 2 pillows for under your knees, a cushion/pillow for your head (if you wish), extra clothing to keep warm while being in stillness.
Sessions have very limited numbers, so be sure to book quickly when you hear about the new dates.
I love offering a whole new dimension of practice in the form of sound!
